If we do not change our business strategies with the changing times, the survival of any business will be in danger. Now, the vast majority of people spend a good part of their daily activities on online platforms. It can be social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube, or any other informative websites or search engines. On the other hand, if you organize a ‘seafood festival’ or any special food festival in restaurants, then you can advertise it on Facebook or Instagram. Then, your ad will reach all the people in the nearby areas who are using these social media platforms. And if they are interested, they will come to the restaurant and enjoy those dishes.
In the case of both these ads, it is very important to determine the platforms on which the ads should be displayed. It is unlikely that there will be much benefit from showing the room ads on social media platforms. Similarly, showing the restaurant ads on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram will be more beneficial than showing them on Google Search or Google Maps. This is my personal opinion. You really need to understand your customers. Whatever your business is, online advertisements will definitely boost your sales, but you need to do it in the right way.
Smart Advertising Strategies
Most people do not have much idea about how to do online advertising. Just by entrusting the advertisement to any agency, your business will not progress. Depending on the nature of your business, your customers may be from different categories. If you show your advertisement only to those categories instead of showing it to everyone, it will help you to get more customers at a lower cost.
You should decide very carefully the nature of the advertisements you give. If you are doing a business related to service, you need to know exactly under what circumstances your customers want to contact you. For example, people will not show interest in visiting the website of a company that provides towing services for vehicles that have been in accidents or breakdowns. They will search for the phone number of a towing company to get the service as soon as possible. When they search for a towing service on Google Search or Google Maps, if you can show your phone number with the ad, then they will definitely call you. You can run “call only” campaigns on Google Ads for companies that provide such services.
On the other hand, if you provide any kind of repair services or contract work, people will definitely be willing to inquire more about your services. In such cases, the customers will search your website for details and try to learn about your services and work history. In such situations, by running Google Ads with the “Website Traffic” objective, more people will know about your business.
Things to keep in mind when advertising
The uniqueness of online ads is that advertisers only have to pay when someone sees the ad. Therefore, if you show your ads only to people who are likely to buy your products, you can grow your business at a much lower ad cost. In all the online advertising platforms, people are divided into several categories. Imagine that you are the owner of a clothing store that only sells children’s clothing. Naturally, a good percentage of people who buy children’s clothing are over the age of twenty-five or thirty. You can show your ads to an audience of a specific age, for example, 25 to 50. There are many other categories available, such as gender, location, interests, etc..
There are some advanced techniques to find your potential customers. We all know that Google is monitoring online activities, such as searches on Google Chrome, and the purchases through websites like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. Based on that, Google has some data about the financial activities and interests of people who are using it. According to this information and data, Google has already divided the users into ten categories. Therefore, if we identify the categories of our potential customers and target them in Google Ads, Google will deliver the ad only to those individuals.
Cost of online advertising
This is the first question most business owners ask. The truth is, the cost depends on your business type and campaign goals. However, I can tell you the minimum amount for online Ads.
Whether it is Google Ads or social media like Facebook, Instagram, etc, the amount for advertising is set for a day. But the total amount will be calculated on a monthly basis. That is, if we give a target of ₹100 per day, it is not necessary to spend exactly ₹100 each day. But the total amount will be ₹3000 for a month. If, for some reason, the Ad platform like Google or Meta spends only ₹50 on any day, the remaining ₹50 will be spent on any of the following days. You can increase or decrease the ad spend at any time.
In Google Ads, your ad will work well only if you give a target of at least ₹300 per day. If you do not give a minimum of ₹100, the chances of your ad working are very low. There is no need to pay the entire amount at once. You can add an amount of ₹500 or more to your Google account. Your ad will stop when the balance runs out. It will affect the performance of the ad severely. So, you need to keep a sufficient balance in your account for the smooth running of your ads.
Facebook Ads also work similarly. You will have to pay a minimum of ₹100 each day. There is no need to pay money up front to your Facebook account. The money will be taken from your account at the end of the month.
You also need to pay for ad creation and management. These ads require regular monitoring and optimisation; otherwise, they can quickly waste your budget. My charge is ₹5,000 for ad creation and ₹5,000 per month for monitoring and management. However, you don’t need to pay anything upfront. I will create and manage the ads free for the first 15 days, and you only need to pay my fees if you are satisfied with the results.
How to advertise online
There are many very complex things in online advertising. It is not possible to explain all of them in one or two posts. Therefore, before you advertise your business online, you should have a clear understanding of the basic things mentioned above. It is important to be able to identify your customers, understand how to get your ads in front of them correctly, understand the common characteristics of your customers, etc.
No matter what your business is, there will be customers who need your services or products. If you can deliver your ads to them and provide good service and ensure the quality, then of course you can make your business successful.
